Everly songs with girls names7119

Liz58 private msg quote post Address this user
I've just been trying to add up the number of songs with a girl's name in the title.. I've got to 33 so far, Mary seems to be there a few times.
My personal favourite Whatever Happened to Judy, then Cathy's Clown, and Phil's Sweet Suzanne.

Hi

Mary as in "Mary Jane" think that was the A side and "Talking to the Flowers" was the flip side
Rosie as in Ring Around
Lovey as in Lovey Kravesit
Amanda Ruth, Barbara Allen, Jeannette Isabella (Christmas carol),
Good Golly Miss Molly, Hello Amy, Nancy's Minuet, Lady Anne, Mabel's Room, and apart from the obvious

They are just off the top of my head and may have got them but just in case you missed some of the more obscure ones, hope it helps

It does get you thinking though

Cheers Kevin

I thought I wouldn’t get away with Ebony Joy, nor Carolina as it’s referring to the state.

There is also Chloe, Jezebel, Maybellene, Carol Jane, Julianne, Lucille. I’ve probably repeated some that others have given. I’m nowhere near 33 though.

As far as i can see, this is the lot, thanks for all of your additions. I have still to hear quite a few of them, as they've been listed as unreleased, but I'm willing to keep digging! Which just proves what my son occasionally calls me, as a " boring old f**t!"
